Well today was "mom's lemonade" at Humpty Dumpty, Megan's pre-school. Debbie's mom was so gracious to come and fill in. Megan was very excited to dress up in her Easter dress that my mother got her this year. She actually wanted to brush her hair and enjoyed having me put it up in pony tails. You know, I have not had a lot of experience with a curling iron, but we tried. :) What a wonderful day for their event. After the event Debbie's mom got to come to the hospital and spend the afternoon with Deb, filling her in on how it went. She was also able to enjoy meeting many of Debbie's friends as they came visiting today. Tonight grandma is home with the kids.
When I arrived today at the hospital Debbie was waiting to go down for a CAT scan of her head. Her left jaw has been numb and there is a little swelling. No news at this time as to the results of that scan, hopefully we will learn more in the morning from Dr. Bala.
The GOOD NEWS! The Dr. told Debbie that "maybe tomorrow" when discussing going home!
This has really helped the spirits! Debbie and I took a walk around the nurses station and kept going on to the next hall. She said she felt it is getting easier to walk. Tonight she has great vital signs, no need for oxygen. She has no pain meds going into her through her port cath, just the patch and pill form. She has not had to push her button for nausea for a long time! So things are looking good for the trip home. I will be here early in the a.m. to meet with the Dr. I want to hear him tell her to go home! We will all just have to wait to see.
If we get that word I will blog while we wait on the discharge, I am sure it will take some time. Don't bother calling to ask, I will not forget to let you know one way or the other. You all will be the second to know, right after us!

What a blessing that tomorrow might be the day to go home!! I think that lifted spirits all over the country! Miracles DO happen, maybe one is on the way for the Uphams. We are praying. You all take care.
